Large construction projects in Saudi Arabia require worker villages and site offices that can be deployed quickly yet still offer acceptable living standards. In one example, 18㎡ flat pack units were used as basic building blocks, with four modules connected to form larger accommodation units of around 72㎡ per block.

The external façade adopted metal carved panels in light desert tones, giving the buildings a clean, professional appearance that aligns with modern project standards. EPS sandwich wall panels were selected as the core material to keep costs under control while providing adequate thermal insulation in combination with proper shading and ventilation.

Inside, PVC flooring was installed for fast cleaning and easy maintenance—ideal for worker accommodation with frequent turnover. Bamboo wood fibre wall panels were used in communal areas to soften the interior look and create a more welcoming environment. Some units incorporated small terraces, allowing outdoor seating and improving overall comfort, while office blocks featured simple flat roofs for equipment placement and signage.

By combining cost-efficient EPS cores with enhanced exterior and interior finishes, the village offered a better living and working experience than standard camps, helping contractors improve workforce retention and project image.
